In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the M-Enabling Summit, we are proud to present our first-ever Innovation Sprint, a month-long, high-energy session to co-design and develop solutions to challenges facing the world of digital accessibility.
This year, we will address the following three focus areas:
- Developing accessibility testing for cognitive disabilities
Team Leader: David Fazio, President, Helix Opportunity - Integrating scalable user feedback from people with disabilities
Team Leader: Michele Landis, SVP, Digital Sales, Allyant - Managing AI in the organization for equitable and nondiscriminatory outcomes
Team Leader: Susan Mazrui, Director, Global Public Policy, AT&T
Facilitators: Nedret Sahin, Fred Antoine (Mad*Pow); Nicholas Gennaro Sciasci (G3ict)
Our M-Enabling Program Advisory Committee identified these three domains as continuous challenges that need to be disrupted. The Innovation Sprint will do just that through fostering collaboration, rapid iteration, and our partnership with Mad*Pow, a human-centered design firm.
What is an Innovation Sprint?
An Innovation Sprint is an engagement activity that brings together interdisciplinary teams from a broad range of expertise to interact and create feasible solutions to be presented at the M-Enabling Summit and to a wider audience to drive systemic change in digital accessibility.
Who can join?
All are welcome! We are looking for digital accessibility champions to participate in the activities. Leaders, advocates, and end-users can select one of the three key focus areas.
How to register and when will the Innovation Sprint begin?
M-Enabling Summit registrants receive an invitation to join the Slack online community Innovation Sprint channel. Individuals unable to attend the Summit in-person can still participate in the Innovation Sprint by registering using the form link.
Each focus area will have a designated time slot for a pitch presentation to M-Enabling Summit participants to receive critical feedback and help re-define the proposed solution and will also include a networking event on October 25th in the evening. The outcomes of each session/focus area will then be compiled to develop a briefing report to be shared with colleagues around the globe looking to tackle the same issues.
We welcome your participation and hope you find this unique initiative an opportunity to contribute driving systemic-level change in the world of digital accessibility!
