Join a group of subject matter experts for a full-day workshop. The workshop is designed for technical professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and skill set around accessible design for digital inclusion. The session content framework will leverage the content domain from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) and the Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS).

The workshop is tailored for technical professionals interested in learning about accessible design for digital inclusion. The workshop will integrate technical learning objectives with web and other digital technologies, built environment, consumer and industrial design, transportation systems, and other domains in which thoughtful design, policy, and management can improve equal access for employees and customers with disabilities or temporary functional limitations.

Topics include:

  • Disabilities, challenges, and assistive technology
  • Accessibility and universal design
  • Creating an accessible web solution
  • Identify accessibility issues in web solutions
  • Standards, laws, and management strategies

During the session, the IAAP-certified subject matter experts will share their experiences. Furthermore, presenters will highlight, in an open dialogue, a framework for implementing professional educational and accessibility certification company-wide.

The workshop is tailored to foster a dynamic learning environment where participants can learn from each other’s experiences and insights.
