IAAP Accessible Document Specialist (ADS)
The Document Accessibility Foundational Techniques Workshop will teach participants the critical aspects of document accessibility and what is required to make digital documents accessible at a foundational level. Learn how users with disabilities consume digital content, and how document authors can help make PDFs created from source applications more accessible.
This session will focus on Microsoft Word as the primary source application, and the steps that need to be taken to create accessible PDFs. The tag structure of PDFs will be analyzed to better understand the procedures that must be followed so that all users can consume PDF content.
During this lecture-style workshop, Chad will provide sample files and welcomes participants to bring their own devices to follow along with demonstration exercises.
